In a city defined not by a skyline of striking architecture but rather by iconic, natural rock formations, Camelback Mountain stands prominently alone. With a form resembling the hump and head of a kneeling camel, this mountain is readily visible from all points around the Phoenix Metro Valley. This new residence, Mon Rocher or “my rock,” is located on a 1.35-acre parcel on the southern facing slope and the building takes cues directly from the steep, granite mountain site.
